This Picture is how usually we serve the “feijoada”. Tomorrow I will give the recipe from caipirinha or caipivodka, very comun in Brazil, more that people think.
By the seventeenth century many slaves worked in the gold mining territories in what is now the states of Minas Gerais, Tocantins, Mato Grosso and Goias The power of these slaves was based on corn, beans and salt, which was a varied little power. Therefore, some time later was added to this traditional meat mixture, cooking various types of meat and vegetables together and joining together the beans and flour or corn meal. Thus arose the Brazilian feijoada.
The feijoada is currently not known like this arose in the seventeenth century, it was undergoing changes and adaptations of gastronomic slant over time, all to highlight the flavor. Today it have with some pork (ears, feet, tail, knee) and other types of meat, the sausage, and tradicionamente is made with black beans.
